Famzo Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

These terms are a binding agreement between you and Nostomic Technologies LLP, a limited liability partnership registered under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Famzo, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Famzo.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@famzoapp.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You must give accurate information when you register, and keep it current.

4. Subscriptions and payment

Famzo offers a free tier and optional paid subscriptions. Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us directly. We never see or store your payment card details.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal.
• The price and billing period are shown clearly before you purchase.
• If we change pricing, existing subscribers are notified before the change applies to them.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time through your Apple or Google account settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.

Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies, not by us. We do not have the technical ability to issue refunds for store purchases. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact the store directly — and tell us too, so we can help where we can.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, abuse or harm another person.
• Attempt to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code, except where law expressly permits it.
• Use automated means to access the service at a scale that burdens our infrastructure.
• Upload malicious code, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the app without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

7. Your content

Famzo stores content you create — your pantry contents, saved recipes, meal plans and grocery lists.

You retain ownership of everything you create. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display it strictly for the purpose of operating the app for you. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are responsible for your content, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

8. Our intellectual property

The app, its design, its software, its content and the Famzo name and marks belong to Nostomic Technologies LLP. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app — they do not transfer ownership of anything.

9. Recipes and food information

Famzo provides recipe suggestions and expiry reminders as a convenience. They are not nutritional, dietary or food-safety advice.

• Always use your own judgement about whether food is safe to eat. Expiry reminders are based on dates you enter and cannot account for how food has actually been stored.
• Check ingredients yourself if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. We cannot guarantee that recipe data is complete or accurate for your circumstances.
• Recipes are for general use and are not tailored to any medical condition.

10. Third-party links and ordering

Famzo may in future let you order missing grocery items through a delivery partner. Where it does, we will tell you clearly, and we may receive a commission on such orders.

Any purchase you make with a third party is a contract between you and them. We are not responsible for their products, prices, delivery or service.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep the app available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

12. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nostomic Technologies LLP is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) ₹5,000.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, or if we are required to by law. On termination, your right to use the app ends; sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) continue to apply.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall first be addressed through good-faith discussion. Failing resolution, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru.
