1. Who we are

Famzo is operated by Nostomic Technologies LLP, a limited liability partnership registered under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008, based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. We are the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. What we collect

Account	Email address and display name.
Pantry data	Items you add, quantities, and expiry dates you record.
Recipes and lists	Recipes you save or create, meal plans, and grocery lists.
Household preferences	Dietary preferences and household size, if you choose to set them.
Usage	Which features you use and how often, to help us improve the app.
Device	Device model, OS version, app version, push notification token.
Subscription	Purchase and renewal status. Payment is handled by Apple or Google.

3. Why we collect it

• To run the app — track your pantry, suggest meals from what you actually have, build grocery lists that de-duplicate against your shelves.
• To send expiry reminders you have asked for.
• To manage subscriptions and restore purchases.
• To fix problems and improve the product.

4. Your consent

We ask for consent before processing your data and explain each permission at the point we request it. You can withdraw consent in Settings → Privacy or by deleting your account.

5. Photos and the camera

If you add pantry items by photo, the image is used to identify the item and is then discarded unless you choose to save it to the item. We do not access your photo library beyond the specific images you select, and we do not scan your camera roll.

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. Our service providers are:

7. How long we keep it

• While active — your pantry, recipes and lists are retained so the app works.
• After deletion — erased within 30 days, except transaction records required by law.
• Backups — up to 90 days in encrypted backups.
• Diagnostics — crash logs retained for 90 days.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Production access is restricted to personnel who need it. Breaches are notified to you and to the Data Protection Board of India as required.

9. Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the right to:

• Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed.
• Correct or complete inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erase your data where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.
• Withdraw consent at any time, with the same ease as it was given.
• Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
• Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved.

To exercise any of these, email us using the contact details below. We respond within 30 days. Deleting your account from within the app also erases your data, subject to the retention periods described above.

10. Children

Famzo is intended for adults managing a household. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

11. Changes

Material changes are notified in the app before they take effect.
